Research Interests

:: Main areas of interest are Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and Decision Support Systems. Free/Open Source Systems, Software Engineering, and Project Management are supportive research areas. Coordinates and/or participates in research projects that support different Engineering areas:

• ERP5 (http://www.erp5.com): open source ERP system.

• NSI²: open source Enterprise Content Management solution. Groupware, Electronic Document Management, Massive Storage and Information Retrieval solutions based on free/open source software. Also provides services for Indexing, Storage, File Conversion, Granularization, Ontology Lookup.
• Pyramid: tool stack for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) in Python.
  

• Argus: joint project with UENF and UFF, supported by Petrobras S.A. Decision Support System for Vibration and Fatigue Analysis in Turbomachines, Offshore and Onshore structures . (closed)
  

• PostGeoOlap: joint project supported by CNPq. Coordinated by UENF with UCAM Campos, CEFET Campos and UniRio. Open source tool that integrates, from modeling, Analytical and Geographic aspects of Geographical Information Systems. Part of PostGreSQL Foundry. (closed)
