Dissertation

The dissertation takes the form of a final paper of applied professional research, involving the development of processes or products of an educational nature in Physics, aiming at the improvement of Physics Teaching in such a way that it can be used by other professionals of the area. This dissertation should apply knowledge already produced by researches in Physics Teaching and generate a disseminable educational product in Physics.

It must occur within at least two years and at most three years, without taking the teacher out of the classroom. For this, the disciplines and activities will be concentrated on a weekday of each week and in intensive periods in July, January and February. The orientation of the dissertation work will be done partially at a distance and partially in meetings at the Institute and in visits to the work place of the Master's student. All the activities of the Master's Program will be organized and programmed to enable its completion in a maximum period of three years, so that the Master's student/teacher does not need to have full-time dedication to the Master's degree Program.
